Shipco Transport Celebrates International Mother Earth Day with Tree Planting Initiative

[Chatham, NJ] – In honor of International Mother Earth Day on April 22, Shipco Transport is proud to announce the sponsorship of planting over 2,200 trees for our Shipco Transport employees worldwide. This initiative is a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated teams for their unwavering support of our sustainability mission.

Shipco Transport has partnered with Evertreen to accomplish this sustainable planting initiative. The trees planted will play a crucial role in global reforestation, boost local ecosystems, and bring lasting benefits to nearby communities.

The specific tree species being planted include Eucalyptus, Voandelaka, Jambolan, Rosewood, and Acacia.

Facts:

  • 2,200+ trees planted in honor of Shipco Transport team members.
  • 1260.90 tonnes of CO2 are being offset.
  • 275.13 working hours were generated for the local community.
  • Countries reforested – Kenya and Madagascar.
